4th of July

Ok so it's time to update the blog again!
(I'm starting to get better at this!) For fourth of July, we went to the Kaysville parade with my sister, brother and their families. We had alot of fun helping the kids gather candy from the streets, but I'm not so sure Deegan enjoyed that part- He got hit in the head with a rootbeer barrel candy and a tootsie roll.
At the end of the parade there was a BIG water fight where we were standing, so Adam and I started to walk away so we didn't get soaked.
On the way out of the crowd, a girl walked past us and (standing about 2 feet away) sprayed Deegan right in the face with her super soaker. He didn't like that much either!
He was having fun in the inbetween times though!
It was very hot, so Deegan got worn out quickly.
When we were leaving, I put him in the sling awake, and by the time I got him situated in there he was out like a light! (what a day!)

We spent the rest of the day relaxing and then Deegan and I went to the Kaysville fireworks with the family (Adam was exhausted, so he stayed home).
Deegan LOVED the fireworks! Everytime one would shoot off he'd start jumping up and down and laugh and get SO excited. That was the best part of the whole day. I love to see him get so excited! The other kids were having fun too (with the exception of Aiden
who was a little bit scared by them). After a couple big fireworks, everyone clapped and Liam got so excited and started clapping and dancing! It was cute!

Splash Pad

So we went to this fun park on Monday with my family and they have a "splash pad" with fun fountains and other water things. Deegan LOVED it! (Adam and I had lots of fun too!!)

Latest update

Again- I'm terrible at updating this blog! (I guess I wasn't really cut out for blogging, but I'll keep trying!) So here's our latest adventures:

Deegan is getting so big! He has learned that he doesn't have to stay where he is put, and is starting to roll over more and more. He tries to crawl, but usually ends up pushing backwards and getting mad that he's further from his toys! He's sitting up some, but usually tries to stand when we help him sit.

I think he may be one of those babies who just completely skip the crawling and sitting thing. He's just got too much to do to waste time with those! His latest excitement comes from jumping. He NEVER sits still! We bought him a jumper a while ago, and he jumps (or swings when we raise it up higher) until he wears himself completely out! He LOVES to eat, but only what everyone else is eating. We went out for Gelato's the other night, and my brother-in-law Brant was holding him while he ate his ice cream. Deegan wanted it SOOOOO bad. He kept opening his mouth and practically diving into the ice cream. Unfortunately, we cannot share ice cream because he is allergic to milk. He Loves popsicles though!

Here's just a few pictures since it's been a while-
MMMM! I love to share Mom's drink!

Finally learned to like "tummy time"!

Deegan had his 6 month appointment on Friday. He is getting big, but apparently not growing the same way the average kid does! He is almost 27 in tall (60th percentile) and his head is 44.5 cm (70th percentile) but only weighs 15.5 lbs which is the 15th percentile! I guess he's kinda skinny!

Our next new adventure is moving up to Logan. We just sold our house on Friday, and we close on the 10th. We found a nice townhome to rent for a couple of months while we look for a house to buy. We're excited to move to a new area, and to save LOTS of money on gas and time traveling, but will be very sad to be away from family and friends. (it's only an hour, but still!) It will be kind of sad to leave our first home that we've put so much work into too! Here's some pictures of some of the things we've done since we moved in.
This kitchen was probably the most work of all- we re-did the cupboards once, and the finish on them turned yellow! it was AWEFUL, but it was right when I found out I was pregnant and the paint smells made me sick, so we had to just live with them for a few months. Then we re-did them and they turned out beautiful! You can't see it very well, but Adam put a Venetian Plaster on the one wall that is way cool. I love texture on my walls!
This is Adam's Texas bathroom. (you can't see the Texas stuff because we took it out when we listed our house)

My Favorite room of all- Deegan's room! We had a lot of fun doing this one! (Of course Adam did most of the work, but I did help a little with the boards on the wall!)
Anyway- That's all for now. We'll keep you posted on our new home and new adventures. (hopefully while they are happening rather than 2 months later!)

Movie Stars

So Deegan is going to be a movie star! Well, kind of. Deegan and I and Roxy and Ana did a testimonial for the My Memories Suite infomercial that is coming out in a couple of weeks. Adam asks me all of the time if I'm going to leave him after it airs and I become a big movie star! Of course, even if I ever became a movie star (which would never happen because I don't like the spot light that much) I would NEVER leave him! I would need him even more because Hollywood is a CRAZY lifestyle- I think anyway! Anyway, you'll have to watch for us. I'll let you know when the infomercial airs.

Shopping Day

Adam and I have been home sick for 2 days and were kind of tired of being home. So tonight we decided we'd just go to the mall and walk around. Well, Mervyns was having a big sale, so I was looking at baby clothes, and Adam and Deegan were playing with the baloons! Apparently Deegan likes baloons and is getting them for Christmas :-)

long while

Well- It's been a while since I posted, and people are starting to point it out to me! Our latest big "thing" is that we have put our house up for sale and are planning on moving to Logan, UT. Adam has been working in the Logan area for almost a year now, and the hour drive twice a day is just not nice with the gas prices these days!

Deegan is finally sleeping through the night... YAY!! Through the night being 10:30 to 5:30, which is not what I would consider a full night, but luckily he eats and goes back to sleep until about 8 or 9! He had his first jar of baby food (Bananas) about a week ago, and thought it was a little weird, but now he Loves it! He's learned to push up on his arms and hold his head up. I love that he can do it, but at bed time it makes falling asleep harder. He sleeps on his tummy, so when I put him down, he thinks it's time to be awake and look around! When he couldn't lift his head, he would just lay there until he was asleep! Oh well! It's kind of one of those things like crawling or talking... you can't wait until they do, but you never want them to do it again!

Work has slowed down a little, but is still pretty crazy! From August to about February, I was managing only 2 accounts. I now have 6 active accounts and 3 in the build stage! We have some very cool clients, and then some who are a little difficult to handle at times, but it is fun anyway! The best part of my job is that when we move to Logan, I will still be able to work from home, so I wont have to commute! I love that! Life is good, and I am loving this warm weather!

My Memories Suite

Just a quick note- all of my cute backgrounds and such on my pictures is done by a Digital Scrapbooking software by Poloroid called My Memories Suite. This is one of my new clients at work. We will be up in a couple weeks and then you can call to order it! If you are into scrapbooking but just don't have the time or patience for cutting and gluing, you will love it!

Intro to our blog

So everyone in my family has a blog, and I really had no intentions on making one, but I'm told I have to if I'm going to be part of the family! Besides, I know I enjoy seeing what all of my friends and family are up to on their blogs, so maybe you will like seeing what we are up to (Mostly what Deegan is up to). For those of you who I haven't talked to for a while, Deegan is now 3 months old and growing VERY fast. He's starting to laugh and "talk" a lot. He is almost always content and smiley (except when he's hungry).
Adam is working for Copper Mountain Electric and has been working out of Logan, UT which is about a 45 minute drive for him. He loves his job and the company loves him. We plan on moving up to Logan in the next year or two once I quit working so he doesn't have the drive.
I am still working full time (sometimes 80 hours a week), but I am able to do my work mostly from home, so I get to play with Deegan all day too. I work as an account manager for Teleperformance, and I have been very fortunate to have a great boss who will be very flexible with my (Deegan's) schedule.
