Summer time

I just have to say that summer time is so much more fun with Deegan being old enough to enjoy the fun kid things! It is so nice that I am home with him during the day and can play and enjoy the days together! (Last summer the closest I got to playing outside was sitting on a blanket with him next to me and a laptop on my legs while I listened in on conference call after conference call... ugh!) So, needless to say, I AM LOVING THIS! Anyway, here are a few pics to show what we've been up to the last little while....

Deegan and I made dad a Father's day card....

He LOVED painting, so I'm sure I will have more painted pictures to come in the coming weeks/months!

Yesterday we went and got Deegan a swingset. He couldn't wait to play on it, so he played on the slide...

...while we finished putting the rest together. (The instructions to these things are so vague! We had to do a lot of experimenting to make sure we had pole 4a, since it didn't have labels, or screw W2 since the diagram sizes were not accurate, but we made it out alive, and only had 3 screws that were too long and will have to be cut down :-) )

The finished Product! YAY!

:-( Deegan wouldn't come play with dad!

That's more like it! He LOVED it... he started jumping anytime Adam let his feet touch the ground! We had a lot of fun playing while we waited for our artichokes to cook! :-) Yes, we tried again!

For those of you who saw my previous post about artichokes-This is what it SHOULD look like when you have cooked the artichoke properly! They were DE-Lish!

This morning, Deegan went straight to the back door when he got up, so we all threw on some shoes and went out to play for a bit. He's learned to say bubble, so he carries his bubble wand around saying "bob-oh, bob-oh?". I've put him off enough the last few days that we decided we should go play bubbles and slide some too.
They both caught the bubble at the same time and it popped between them!
Then we picked strawberries! MMMMM! What a week- it's been great!

Memorial day

I know it's a little late, but better late than never, right? For memorial day, we went with my whole family to Fort Buena Ventura in Ogden for a picnic and a fun day of playing. They have a little area that has an old house, a trading post, a school house, and a bunch of Tee Pee's that you can go in and hang out. The kids loved them!

The kids all had bikes (except Deegan- he just got to sit on Aiden's and that was enough) and there were fun bike path's for them to ride on...

And there were PLENTY of things to climb...

Grandma and Grandpa brought giant bubble wands for everyone, so we had fun blowing bubbles. We also had Horseshoes and the Ladder Ball game. And of course, yummy lunch and tons of snacks (Keli made a VERY yummy cake, as usual!)

We even got to go canoeing.
All in all, it was a very fun day, I don't recall any disasters, and we really enjoyed having a day to spend with the family and just relax. That doesn't happen very often!

My Extra Earnings

For those of you who know me, you probably know that I am always looking for ways to work from home and just be a mom! Along with that, you probably know that I am ALWAYS getting myself into scams! ARG!!! Well, after the last scam (Make Money from home working for Google, which was actually a company out of the Middle East that has no connections to Google), I decided that I will NEVER put my credit card number online again with the exception of paying my bills. Well, yesterday I came upon this website while looking for just a new "real" job (having given up my hope for work at home). It led me to the site that this stay at home mom uses for her extra earnings. After VERY CAREFULLY reading all of the fine print, I signed up, ensuring that I was NOT giving out any info on my accounts or credit cards. I watched a short tutorial and was ready to go, so I played around on it while looking at other online things and chatting with friends on Facebook. In about 2 hours I racked up about $8. Now I understand that $8 is NOT good pay for 2 hours, but for doing what I would have been doing during those 2 hours anyway, I may as well earn a little extra. I figure that if I spend 2 hours a day doing these surveys, and earn roughly $8 per day, I will make a little over $240 per month. Again, this is not that much... BUT, I really didn't put that much into it, and who would turn down an extra $250 per month??? NOT ME!So far, I have not had any of the offers I filled out ask me ANYTHING about my money, and if there are any that require money or a credit card, Cash Crate lets you know before you even click on the offer, so you can just delete them from your listings.Cash Crate is a wonderful way for mom's, dad's and even college students to make a little extra spending cash! But- the beauty of this is that on top of the money they give you for the surveys, if you recruit others for them, you can earn 20% of their earnings too! So there is definately earning potential, since this is a free business, and there are plenty of people wanting to make a little extra money (like yourself!) So, go to the website, get signed up and try it. What's there to lose? http://cashcrate.com/1358881 (this is my personal referral site, so I can earn when you do!)
